FASK & Spare Parts

To provide our clients with quality services and efficiency, FURUNO Singapore engages and is part of a proprietary system known as the Fly-Away Spare Part Kit (FASK). This system involves storing of the necessary spare parts for certain equipment models as ready-to-be dispatched kits at Australia, Germany, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, USA and UAE. With a vast availability of spares & accessories in our local inventory and FASK, our experienced technicians can attend to your equipment for servicing anytime, anywhere in Singapore or overseas.

GMDSS Shore-based Maintenance Contracts

Safety of life at sea has always been the highest level of concern in the shipping industry. As required by the IMO SOLAS GMDSS regulations (Chapter IV Reg.15) and the Radio Maintenance Guidelines (Res. A702-17), it is mandatory to have a Shore-based Maintenance Agreement/Certificate on-board to fulfil maintenance requirements, especially for vessels that operate on international sea routes.

Accidents or delayed arrival schedules can happen anytime due to equipment failures. As such, it is important to perform mandatory annual surveys and health inspections of the GMDSS equipment inventory which are on-board the vessel. Such measures not only ensure that the vessels are in operational conditions with the purpose of minimizing mishaps, it also allow vessel owners to reduce unnecessary operational expenses due to equipment breakdowns.

FURUNO Singapore offers our customers the GMDSS Shore-based Maintenance Agreement or Certificate on an annual-based fixed rate.
